Be Barrier Wise

Chances are you will care for a patient with an infectious disease. With the proper use of barriers, you can avoid getting sick. Produced in collaboration with Vancouver Coastal Health and The British Columbia Centre for Disease Control, this 10-minute video outlines the routes of transmission of infectious diseases and demonstrates the proper use of protective barriers to be worn by healthcare workers. It is important to “be barrier wise” to minimize the spread of disease and ensure a healthy healthcare workforce.
