A Guide for Implementing a Prevention and Early Active Return to Work Safely (PEARS) Program in Healthcare is geared towards PEARS program leaders, committee members, staff, and affiliates. It provides information on how to develop and implement a program that will help address musculoskeletal injuries in the workplace by acting proactively to prevent injuries, intervene early for those with injuries, and integrate injured workers back to work in the safest, earliest way possible. This guide may be useful to all healthcare workers, as everyone in healthcare environments have some degree of responsibility for a safe workplace. However, the intent of this guide is to assist those who are interested in implementing the PEARS program.
